Bicholim police cracked the murder of a juvenile within six hours with the arrest of one Chandu Patil.

The accused, aged 30 years and a native of Maharashtra, was arrested at Kalyan railway station in Mumbai.

He is charged with allegedly murdering 11-year-old boy, Samir Ali, by crushing his head with a blunt weapon, reportedly a stone.

On Monday, JMFC has remanded Chandu Patil, the accused of killing 11-year old boy to 7 days police custody.

Primary facie, the police investigating revealed that the accused was dismissed from his job at a dairy unit in Vithalpur, and out of anger, he killed his colleague's son.

"Patil was sacked after a heated argument with his employer, Bhalchandra Bakre, after a dispute with Harshad Ali, a newly hired worker hailing from Uttar Pradesh," the source said.

In a fit of rage, Patil on Saturday night, allegedly entered the unlatched room where the Ali brothers were staying. While everyone was asleep, Patil dragged the 11-year-old to a nearby cowshed and killed him. The child was rushed to a local health centre, where he was declared brought dead.

Following the murder, Patil fled the scene on a scooter belonging to the dairy owner.  A Bicholim police team, led by PSI Sunil Patil and supervised by PI Dinesh Gadekar, tracked down the accused to Mumbai, where he was apprehended at Kalyan station and brought to Goa.  Further investigation is ongoing.
