A dedicated web portal for this year's decennial 'Exposition' of the sacred relics of St Francis Xavier was launched on Thursday by Fr Henry Falcao in the presence of Environment Minister Aleixo Sequeira, Chief Secretary, Puneet Kumar Goel and Exposition Committee Commissioner Sandip Jacques.

The user-friendly portal has been created by the State government in collaboration with the Goa Archdiocese and is meant to offer pilgrims comprehensive details about the Exposition, including about facilities for visiting pilgrims like accomodation, transport and other amenities.

The portal will have options for pilgrims to book accommodation and manage other aspects of their visit to the State for the Exposition, including special arrangements made for persons with disability. It is accessible at https://sfxexpo2024.goa.gov.in/

Meanwhile, the Exposition Secretariat Committee met to review the ongoing preparatory work and is intending to conduct mock drills as early as next week at the Old Goa church complex and its periphery besides checking on approach road management, the disaster management systems and the designated areas for evacuation.

Sequeira, Goel, Jacques, both the District Collectors, Cumbharjua MLA, Rajesh Faldessai, Labour Commissioner Levinson Martins and several other bureaucrats, police officers and church representatives attended the meeting.

The Exposition of Sacred Relics of St Francis Xavier 2024 website is now liive and ready to serve the needs of pilgrims and visitors alike, providing a smooth and enriching journey during this sacred event.
