MAPUSA: Anjuna Police successfully solved a theft case reported at Hotel La Sunila in Baga, Arpora.
The case which was registered on January 20 under Section 305 of the BNS Act, stemmed from a complaint filed by Rohit Sinha, a 40-year-old service professional from Dwarka, New Delhi.
According to the complaint, the theft occurred between 11.55 pm on January 13 and 7.00 am on January 14.
An unknown person allegedly broke into room of the hotel and stole a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra mobile phone worth Rs 1,29,269.
During the course of the investigation, the police apprehended the accused, identified as Sahid Lal (19), a resident of West Bengal.
The accused was arrested and the stolen mobile phone was recovered from the possession of the accused.
The investigation was led by PSI Saish Kinlekar of Anjuna Police Station.
