CANACONA: A 59-year-old man from Poinguinim committed suicide on a tree in the Poinguinim forests on Monday evening.
According to sources, Mukund Pagi of Poinguinim, who was living with his only son after the demise of his wife a few years ago, was known to be trouble-free man and dedicated between his work and the house. The reason for the extreme step is not yet known.
Canacona police reached the spot and conducted the panchanama, with the help of personnel from Fire & Emergency Services. The body was later sent for a post-mortem late Monday evening.
