The Special Investigation Team (SIT-Land Grab) arrested Aasif alias Asif (33), a resident of Mapusa, for allegedly forging property documents in connivance with Suleman Siddique Khan and his wife Afsana alias Sarika
Khan. According to details shared by SIT SP Rahul Gupta, the accused used counterfeit government stamps and impersonated the rightful owners
of the properties.
“They dishonestly prepared forged documents concerning landed properties bearing survey numbers 455/7, 466/5, and 466/6 in Village Thivim, Bardez, Goa. The accused used counterfeit government stamps and impersonated legal heirs of the said properties. Acting with common intent, they fraudulently and knowingly produced and used forged documents, falsely claiming ownership of these properties before the concerned authorities. As a result, they succeeded in transferring the rights over the properties, thereby depriving the legal heirs of their lawful ownership and cheating them,” the officer stated.
Suleman and his wife are currently in judicial custody in connection with other offences against them.
