The accident involving a pickup and a scooter at Malpe-Pernem.

A 52-year-old man from Mulgao-Bicholim was seriously injured when a pickup and a scooter collided with each other on the highway at Malpe-Pernem on Thursday evening.
According to information, the pickup was proceeding from Mapusa towards Sawantwadi, while the scooter was ahead of the rickshaw.
On reaching at Malpe, the scooter rider suddenly swerved as another two-wheeler was proceeding along a small road where the divider has been broken on the highway.
As a result, the pickup rammed into the rear of the scooter, seriously injuring the scooter rider Shrikrishna Mandal.
Pernem police is conducting further investigation in this matter.
