Police conducted raids in Calangute and Siolim and seized drugs worth Rs 2.12 lakh. Two persons, Fawsali P T (28) a native of Kerala but residing at Calangute, and Pannelal Subhash (28), a native of Uttar Pradesh but residing at Assgao were arrested in this connection.
On Tuesday evening, Calangute police arrested Fawsali P T at Calangute, after a raid was conducted in the flat where he was staying, and drugs valued at Rs 60,000 were seized from him.
Anjuna police conducted a raid near the Siolim Health Centre and seized drugs valued at Rs 1.52 lakh from a scooter belonging to the accused, Pannelal Subhash. Police investigations are in progress.
