The monsoons have signed off and it’s time to party allnight long. It’s going to be a longtiatr season this time till the lent season sets in during the first quarter ofthe year 2013.

With every passing year the competition only seems to begetting intense and tough. With the mature audience showing a sense of selectiveness and ever changing taste, playwrights have got to pull out a different rabbit out of their hats likemagicians, not only to keep their fans satisfied but also to keep a few stepsahead of their peers and competition andto reach the finishing line with a successful run. Among the general tiatr artistes the comedians and thesoloist are the ones who have their hands full and a tight schedule to maintainno sooner the tiatr season goes on full steam from October onwards.
The fair season is the time when the villages come alivewith staging of the tiarts in the evenings and late nights out in the open airduring various feasts celebrations and other occasions. While the playwrightscry foul over the non-availability of Kala Academy auditoriums at weekends andSundays to stage tiatrs, it is the village shows across the length and breadthof Goa that keeps the playwrights busy and help them reach for the century markwithin the shortest possible time.
