A Prudent Media Survey (Phase 1) has revealed that 11 legislators are considered unsafe in their constituencies, while seven others are safe and two MLAs have mixed chances at the upcoming assembly elections to 20 constituencies in North Goa.
The nine BJP MLAs considered unsafe in the Survey are Deputy Chief Minister Manohar (Babu) Azgaonkar (Pernem), Joshua D’souza (Mapusa), Glenn Ticlo (Aldona), Atanasio (Babush) Monserrate (Panaji), Jennifer Monserrate (Taleigao), BJP MLA Tony Rodrigues (St Cruz), Francis Silveira (St Andre), Pandurang Madkaikar (Cumbarjua) and MLA Pravin Zantye (Mayem).
Others considered unsafe in the survey are both Goa Forward Party MLAs Vinoda Paliencar (Siolim) and Jayesh Salgaonkar (Saligao).
Among those five BJP legislators considered safe in the Prudent Media Survey are Chief Minister Pramod Sawant (Sankhali), Speaker Rajesh Patnekar (Bicholim), Dayanand Sopte (Mandrem), Michael Lobo (Calangute) and Vishwajit Rane (Valpoi), while the Congress MLA considered safe is Pratapsing Rane (Poriem) and the Independent MLA Rohan Khaunte (Porvorim) is also considered safe.
Those legislators with a mixed chance in the Prudent Media Survey are BJP MLA Nilkanth Halarnakar (Tivim) and Independent MLA Govind Gaude (Priol).
All five BJP MLAs in Tiswadi are considered unsafe in the survey and Babush Monserrate could lose his monopoly in the taluka.
The survey also indicates that Michael Lobo has influence in the three constituencies of Calangute, Siolim and Mapusa, while former minister Dayanand Mandrekar also has some influence in Siolim constituency.
