In all, 17,686 students had appeared for the examination of which 16,030 cleared it. Compared to 2024, this year the pass percentage is 5 per cent higher.
The results were announced by the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) chairman Bhagirath Shetye.
Keeping with the annual trend, the result saw girls outshine boys with an overall pass percentage of 92.42 per cent while that of boys was 88.69%.
Shetye said that of the total 8,525 girls cleared the examination of the total 9224 who had answered it, whereas of the total 8,462 boys, 7505 passed.
The pass percentage for children with special needs stood at 83.84%.
In terms of stream-wise results, Commerce saw the highest passing with a 93% students (4745 out of 5085) clearing it.
91.32 students from Science (5558 out of 6086) cleared the exam, while Arts saw 91.03% (3703 out of 4068), and Vocational 82.71% (2024 out of 2447) pass percentage.
The rural taluka of Sanguem recorded the highest pass percentage at 95.9%.
