VASCO:
Alex Coutinho (34) who was arrested by Verna police on Wednesday on charges of murdering his friend Lionel Lobo (32) at Cortalim has been remanded to eight days in police custody.
Verna PI Melson Colaco informed reporters on Thursday that the accused was produced before the JMFC on Thursday.
"The family of the deceased was informed about the incident and since they were abroad, we had to wait for the post mortem. The sister of the deceased reached Goa today and the post mortem of the deceased has been conducted. The body of the deceased will be handed over to his family on Friday,” said PI Colaco.
