Health Minister Vishwajit Rane has said that top government doctors at the Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Bambolim, the State’s premier tertiary healthcare institution, will have to adapt to new technologies and continually update their knowledge else face action, even termination.
Rane, who was speaking at a mega health camp held at Mapusa on Saturday said GMCH doctors who fail to adapt to the new technologies and constantly update their knowledge will face termination even as he asserted that the government is aiming to provide the “best healthcare services” to the Goan people.
“Ongoing education and skill enhancement are essential for maintaining high standards of care,” Rane said, adding that the importance of integrating modern medical advancements and techniques in daily practices to improve outcomes is essential.
He also said that the emergency healthcare system has been enhanced with more GVK EMRI 108 ambulances for shorter response times in critical situations.
