The International Centre Goa (ICG) is organising a special interview program featuring the actor, director, writer and artist Amol Palekar under its series "Kitab". The interview shall be centered around his recently penned book, Viewfinder. Curated by Sandhya Gokhale, Viewfinder offers a unique and intimate glimpse into the multifaceted life journey of this iconic artist. The programme is scheduled for May 1 at 5:30 pm at the Zaiyo-Zuiyo Lawns at the International Centre Goa at Dona Paula.
This exclusive event, sponsored by Fomento Resources, will provide a rare opportunity for attendees to delve into Palekar’s experiences, insights, and perspectives as shared in Viewfinder. From his early forays into art and theatre to his impactful contributions to Indian cinema, both mainstream and parallel, and his later ventures into direction, Palekar’s life has been a rich tapestry of creative exploration and social commentary.
The evening will feature a captivating interview with Amol Palekar conducted by the distinguished Dr Veeraj Mahatme. Dr Mahatme, known for his insightful and engaging conversational style, will guide the discussion, drawing out key moments and reflections from Viewfinder.
