The Goa leg of Pond’s Femina Miss India 2013 concluded recently and witnessed tough competition from 13 beauties for the coveted glam title
Tito’s, Baga played host to one of India’s most prestigiousand credible beauty pageants, Pond’s Femina Miss India Goa 2013 recently. Asthe young beauties battled it out to grab a once in a lifetime opportunity of winningthe crown, the event saw some electrifying performance from Grammy nomineeOliver Sean and Kanan brothers. Goa’s very own Gale D'Silva went on to win thePond's Femina Miss India Goa 2013 while Lopamudra Raut and Megna Raj settledfor the first and second runner-up respectively.
From over a hundred participants, the best thirteen wereshortlisted who displayed the perfect combination of beauty, poise and grit,making it a tough decision for the judges. The selection process for thecontestants spanned over four days of intense grooming and meticulous trainingthat the girls were conditioned to. Various sub contests like ‘Femina MissGlowing Skin’, ‘Femina Miss Adventurous’, ‘Femina Miss Timeless Beauty’ etc.were held to give the contestants a taste of the competition awaiting them atthe Goa finale.

To ensure national representation of the contestants and celebratethe glorious golden jubilee, auditions and selections are initiated fromregions across India. The pageant selection process has been divided into fiveZones. The North Zone constitutes of Delhi, Chandigarh, Amritsar, Shimla, Jammuand Dehradun and South Zone of Chennai, Hyderabad & Bangalore. Kolkata& Guwahati falls in the East and Goa, Nagpur, Pune, Jaipur & Ahmedabadin the West Zone. The Central Zone consists of Indore and Lucknow, portraying anational representation of the title. The winner gets a lifetime opportunity tofast track to the finals at the Grand Finale of Pond’s Femina Miss India 2013.
