PANAJI: An accident last evening has paralyzed vehicular movement to and from Karnataka on the Anmod Ghat.
A container truck broke down on the Goa-Belagavi road around 5:30 pm on Sunday that led to a severe gridlock. The vehicles are unable to move for nearly 17 hours.
The traffic police were deployed to manage the congestion and try to clear the vehicles, however, the traffic jam continued to persist with long lines of vehicles backed up on both sides of the road.
The Ramnagar police finally cleared the traffic jam by using a crane to remove the vehicle.
