Sattari Deputy Collector and Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Laxmikant Kuttikar has directed the executive committee of the Shri Sateri Kelbai Ajoba Devasthan at Keri-Sattari to celebrate the annual Kalotsav with traditional fervour on Sunday.
In a bid to celebrate the traditional Kalotsav of the Shri Sateri Kelbai Ajoba Devasthan in a peaceful manner, Kuttikar had convened two meetings of the Mahajans of the temple on January 6 and 9 to seek their views in the matter.
A report had also been submitted by the administrator of the temple and the joint mamlatdar of Sattari Taluka. The matter was discussed in detail and Kuttikar later directed the Devasthan’s executive committee to celebrate the annual Kalotsav on Sunday.
The order directs that necessary arrangements be made to ensure that devotees do not face any inconvenience during the Kalotsav.
When contacted, in this regard, Kuttikar confirmed that the executive committee has assured full cooperation to ensure that this festival is held peacefully under its supervision.
“A large number of devotees from Goa, Maharashtra and Karnataka are expected to participate in the Kalotsav festival and we have made all necessary arrangements to ensure that the festival is celebrated with traditional fervour,” said the SDM.
