In a significant step towards improving the local power infrastructure, Velim MLA Silva Cruz inaugurated new electric transformers at various locations, including Pullamoll, Moll, Ralloi, and near Ayyapan Temple in San Jose de Areal on Friday.
The event was graced by the presence of Sarpanch Carmeena Fernandes, panch members, officials from the Electricity Department, and local residents.
The MLA said the installation of these transformers aims to address voltage fluctuations and enhance the electric supply in the area, benefiting both residents and businesses. The initiative reflects a commitment to meeting the growing demands of the community and ensuring a stable power supply, he said.
Further speaking at the inauguration, MLA Cruz emphasised the importance of upgrading power infrastructure to support the development of the constituency. The locals and officials expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the MLA for prioritizing this essential need, he said.
