MARGAO
Margao police rushed to Nagmodem in Navelim village on Tuesday evening following information that an animal was brought for slaughtering.
When the team reached the spot, the team found the animal tied to a tree, there was no one around to lay claim.
Given the situation, the police called up the animal welfare organisation to take possession of the animal. The presence of the animal at the spot generated interest for the simple reason that beef stalls across the State have run out of stock and whether the animal was brought for slaughtering.
The police are investigating.
