In a major crackdown on illegal production of various Goa and Karnataka made liquor, Belagavi Excise officials conducted a surprise raid at a farmhouse in Chabbi village, Hubballi taluka, Dharwad district. The operation, led by Deputy Commissioner of Excise (Crime) Manjunath V. and Joint Commissioners of Belagavi Division F. H. Chalawadi, resulted in the seizure of a fake liquor manufacturing unit worth ₹5 lakh.
Excise Superintendents Vijaykumar Hiremath and Basavaraj Mudashi, along with Inspectors Ravi Hosalli and Lingaraj, played a crucial role in the raid, dismantling the illegal setup and confiscating essential equipment used in the production of counterfeit liquor.
Following the operation, a serious case has been registered by Excise Inspector J.C. at the Belagavi office. Authorities have intensified their vigilance against such illegal activities, ensuring strict action against violators.
