BJP launches 'Sankalp Patra Sujhav Abhiyan' ahead of 2024 General Elections

In anticipation of the forthcoming 2024 General Elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has officially inaugurated the 'Sankalp Patra Sujhav Abhiyan' alongside the commencement of the 'Vikasit Bharat Modi Ki Guarantee' rath. This move by the BJP aims to gather public input for the formulation of their manifesto, known as the Sankalp Patra.


As part of this initiative, the BJP has announced that 'Vikasit Bharat – Modi Ki Guarantee' vans will traverse all Lok Sabha constituencies across the nation, gathering suggestions from over 50,000 citizens to be incorporated into the party's manifesto. The campaign will be launched in Goa on March 3, and kick off on March 4.


Encouraging active participation, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has urged citizens to contribute their ideas. Sawant expressed, "We need ideas from the people especially the youth for development in the field of innovation and technology."


Reflecting the inclusive nature of the yatra, BJP State President Sadanand Shet Tanavade emphasised the significance of public engagement in shaping the nation's future. Tanavade remarked, "We are taking suggestions from the people for the manifesto as the people's participation will help the country move forward."


Participants will be provided with notepads to document their suggestions, which will then be forwarded to the Prime Minister's office.


Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte disclosed that the yatra will continue until March 15 and released the comprehensive schedule for the campaign.


The itinerary for South Goa includes stops in Margao and Fatorda on March 4, Curtorim, Navelim, and Nuvem on March 5. The yatra will proceed to Benaulim, Velim, and Cuncolim on March 6, Mormugao and Vasco on March 7, Cortalim and Dabolim on March 8, Canacona on March 9, and Sanguem on March 10. Subsequent stops include Sarvodem on March 11, Shiroda and Madkai on March 12, Ponda on March 13, and Curchorem and Qupem on March 14.


Simultaneously, the yatra will also traverse North Goa, commencing on March 4 with stops in Porvorim and Saligao. The campaign will visit Mapusa, Tivim, and Aldona on March 5, Calangute and Siolim on March 6, followed by Mayem and Bicholim on March 7. Sanquelim on March 8, with stops in Poriem and Valpoi on March 9. The yatra will then proceed to Pernem on March 10, Mandrem on March 11, and Panaji, Taleigao, and St Cruz on March 12. On March 13, the campaign will visit St Andre and Cumburjua, concluding with a final stop in Priol on March 14.


In addition to physical participation, citizens have been encouraged to contribute their suggestions through various digital platforms, including the NaMo App, Twitter,  WhatsApp, and by giving a missed call on 9090902024.
