PANAJI:
The Directorate of Art and Culture organised the Dekhava Competition for Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandals in Goa, aimed at preserving traditions and showcasing youth talent. This year, 18 Mandals participated.
Brahmeshwar Yuvak Sangh Akhada, St. Estevam, Tiswadi, won the first prize of ₹35,000. Korgao Sarvajanik Ganeshutsav Mandal, Pernem, secured second place with ₹30,000, and Sarvajanik Saraswati Utsav Mandal, Kumbarjua, Tiswadi, took third place, winning ₹25,000.
The fourth prize of ₹20,000 went to Harmal Sarvajanik Ganesh Utsav Mandal, Pernem, and the fifth prize of ₹15,000 to Shantadurga Kala & Krida Sangh, Vasco. Five consolation prizes of ₹10,000 each were awarded to other participating Mandals.
Judges Naguesh Desai, Sachin Naik, and Bhisaji Gadekar selected the winners, who will receive certificates and cash prizes at a special function which will be annnounced in advance.
