Welcoming Chief Minister Pramod Sawant’s announcement that all posts will be filled up through Staff Selection Commission, Madganvcho Awaaz leader Prabhab Naik on Wednesday has appealed to Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to bring an ordinance to ensure that even vacancies arising in the local bodies are filled up through the Staff Selection commission.
Saying that he had last week raised the issue of recruitment process initiated by the Margao Municipal Council to fill up the 11 posts of LDCs, Prabhav has warned that this is a scam in the making.
“I want to congratulate the Chief Minister for his bold decision to fill up the vacancies through the Staff Selection Commission. This will ensure that the recruitment process will be transparent and the jobs will be given on merit”, he said.
He, however, requested the Chief Minister to bring an Ordinance to ensure that even vacancies arising in the MMC are filled up via the SSC. “I want to warn that the MMC recruitment is a scam in the making. The recruitment should be done through the SSC to ensure transparency. The deserving should get the jobs on merit and to ensure there is no injustice done to anyone”, he added.
