Panaji: The Camurlim Comunidade has officially rejected a proposal from Spacebound Web Labs Private Limited to hold the Sunburn festival in their village.
The electronic dance music festival was scheduled to take place from December 28 to 30, but the general body of the comunidade unanimously opposed it.
The festival organizers had approached the comunidade to request land for the event and submitted a formal application.
They identified survey numbers 112, 110, and 114, which together amount to approximately 130,000 square meters, as a potential site for the festival, pending approval from the general body.
