Captain America: Civil War has not one but two post-credits scenes. Word has leaked that an additional one was added for the European premiere, which critics were not shown at earlier screenings. A mid-credits scene is said to directly set up a future Marvel movie, while a vignette after the credits roll is more removed from Civil War continuity (via Comic Book). The post-credits scenes have become a trademark of Marvel Studios, dating all the way back to Samuel L. Jackson's first appearance as Nick Fury at the end of Iron Man. Over the years, the scenes have introduced Thor's hammer, the first appearance of mad warlord Thanos and the return of Howard the Duck.
