A performance by Madhur Padwal showcased the sounds of India’s West Coast, from Gujarat to Kerala, blending traditional music and instruments at Azad Maidan in Panaji on the third day of the Serendipity Arts Festival.
Poems on the Move, curated by Salil Chaturvedi and Thukral and Tagra as part of the Multiplay series, transformed an ordinary cab ride into a poetic journey. Live poetry readings and recitations featured poets like Anamika Joshi, Deepali Sutar, and Rochelle D’Silva. “Art is about connection. With this project, we want people to engage with their surroundings in a way that inspires reflection,” said Thukral.
Another highlight was Abundance in Scarcity by Sandeep Sangaru at Samba Square. This project celebrated Ladakh’s sustainable ingenuity through stories, installations, and performances by artisans Tsering Angchuk and Skalzang Tundup. It sparked conversations about cultural preservation and environmental sustainability.
At The Food Lab in the Old GMC Complex, Redefining Goan Food for the Next Generation, curated by Smitha Menon, explored the evolution of Goan cuisine with a panel featuring seaweed farmers, restaurateurs, and beverage experts.
The Super Stranger Workshop, led by Yuuki Aoki and the Newcomer ‘H’ Sokerissa! dance group, offered a two-day intensive at the Directorate of Accounts, culminating in a performance at Panaji Market. Participants explored contemporary dance and international styles.
At The Art Park, Bombay Lights, curated by Bickram Ghosh, delivered an energetic mix of folk, contemporary, and Bollywood rhythms. Blackstratblues, curated by Zubin Balaporia and supported by Campa, performed at the Main Stage at Nagalli Hills. Led by Warren Mendonsa, the blues-rock band captivated audiences with a mix of blues, psychedelia, and electronic influences.

PANAJI: A panel discussion on Navigating Intellectual Property Rights in the Music Industry will take place at the ESG auditorium on December 19. Industry leaders will discuss key topics such as music publishing, copyright, licensing, and managing rights and royalties for new-age creators.
Panellists Rakesh Nigam, Atul Churamani, and Rafael Pereira will share valuable insights for music creators, independent artists, and industry professionals navigating the evolving music industry landscape.
On December 20, Jaadoo Bastar by Daira will be held at Azad Maidan. The performance will offer a captivating blend of modern art-rock and traditional Bastar music, featuring songs in Halbi, Bhatri, and Gondi.
