The Ministry of Jal Shakti (Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation) has sought applications for the positions of Mahadayi PRAWAH (Progressive River Authority for Welfare and Harmony) chairperson, secretary and three members.
For Chairperson, the advertisement specifies it to be a position equivalent to level 15 of the Central 7th Pay Commission with Rs 1.82 lakh to Rs 2.24 lakh pay scale.
The three positions of members for hydrology, environmental issues and monitoring, the positions are of level 14 with the Rs Rs 1.44 lakh to Rs 2.18 lakh pay scale.
The Secretary position is a post of level 3 and entails a pay scale of Rs 1.23 lakh to Rs 2.15 lakh, the ministry said.
PRAWAH is the body the Centre has constituted under Section 6A of the Inter State Water Disputes Act, 1956, for ensuring compliance of the Mahadayi Water Disputes Tribunal.
PRAWAH is headquartered at Panaji.
It said those who applied last year following the advertisement May also need to re-apply within 45 days.
