The parish youth took part in a blood donation drive in the premises of the St Francis Xavier Church at Chicalim on October 26, as part of the 400th anniversary celebrations of the church.
The blood donation drive was conducted efficiently and safely with the support of the Goa Medical College staff.
Registrations were held online to allow for easy pre-registration, and spot entries were also accepted to accommodate additional participants.
A total of 30 individuals registered for the camp, showing great enthusiasm to the cause. After a health screening process, 26 participants were eligible and successfully donated blood.
“The camp was a success, demonstrating the compassion and unity within our community. This event also highlighted the youth’s commitment to service, as they actively led and organised the day. It was an inspiring effort that underscored our church’s dedication to social responsibility and outreach,” said Chicalim Parish Priest Fr Bolmax Pereira.
