PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant reaffirmed the Goa government’s commitment to strengthening STEM education through initiatives such as CARES, Innovation & Startup hubs, and the integration of science with sustainable development.
"Guided by the vision of Vikas Bhi, Virasat Bhi, we must work towards a Viksit Goa, Viksit Bharat," Sawant stated on X.
Addressing students at the National Science Day program at the Government College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Sankhali, he urged them to adopt a scientific mindset.
During the event, Sawant announced that the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) and the Government of Goa have signed a MoU to launch the Student Skilling Program. The initiative aims to equip Goan youth with industry-relevant skills in the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector.
Highlighting the theme of this year’s National Science Day, Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science and Innovation for Viksit Bharat, Sawant emphasized India's advancements in space exploration, nuclear technology, and artificial intelligence. "India has long been a hub of scientific innovation and continues to make remarkable strides," he said.
