MARGAO: Colva police have registered a case under the provisions of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act upon a written application from Raj Pratik, Officer, District Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (DSPCA), South Goa.
In his complaint, the officer alleged that on September 17 at around 4.30 pm near Benaulim the accused owner/driver of a goods carriage vehicle allegedly transported a live calf which was seen dangerously dragged along the road tied by a rope round its neck alongside the moving vehicle. The police are investigating the case.
