Congress party on Saturday held the ‘Haath se Haath Jodo’ programme at Chicalim and a declaration of Congress leaders including South Goa MP Fransisco Sardinha, Captain Viriato Fernandes, Savio Dsilva and others interacted with the Congress supporters and members of Dabolim constituency.
Speaking to media after the programme, South Goa MP Fransisco Sardinha said that the BJP government only wanted to punish the people while adding that the programme was created to bring awareness amongst the Congress members and supporters.
“Rahul Gandhi exposed the misleads of the BJP and we want everybody to be together and this is what the programme is all about. I also want to question the BJP about their intention to withdraw the circulation of Rs 2000 note...and I feel that the BJP government only wants to punish the people,” said Sardinha.
