PANAJI: A Delhi youth Karan Kashyap died after collapsing at the Sunburn EDM festival in Dhargal on Saturday.
According to North Goa Superintendent of Police Akshat Kaushal, the 26-year-old fell unconscious around 9:45 pm during the event and was rushed to a private hospital in Mapusa in an Ambulance where he was declared dead.
The body has been sent to Goa Medical College where a postmortem is underway to determine the cause of death.
Kaushal said that necessary legal action will be taken if there's any foul play.
Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao has called for a high-level investigation into the incident, demanding the government take action to uncover the truth and prevent similar tragedies.
"Another youth from Delhi dies after attending EDM festival; Govt should launch high-level investigation to know the exact cause of death; let us save our next generation from these vices," Alemao said.
