As Benaulikars prepare to celebrate the feast of Our Lady of Livramenta, the Holy Trinity Church, Benaulim, on Friday witnessed the statue of Our Lady being brought down for devotees, especially senior citizens, to venerate.
After the Novena Mass, presided over by Holy Trinity Church Parish Priest Fr Ligorinho Da Costa, Assistant Parish Priest Fr Clifford Fernandes carried the statue of Our Lady of Livramenta around the Church for veneration and kissing by those attending the Novena Mass.
Fr Clifford later told the media that the parishioners of Holy Trinity Church, Benaulim, are preparing for the feast of Our Lady of Livramenta by organising the traditional procession at the Chapel at Mazilwaddo. “The Novenas are held every day before the feast, where people come to offer their prayers for peace in their families, give thanks for the recovery of lost goods, and pray for miracles,” he said.
He added, “Today, we offered the Holy Mass for senior citizens. The statue of Our Lady of Livramenta was brought down for the senior citizens and others attending the Mass for veneration.”
