PANAJI: In an effort to nurture film culture and elevate the standards of filmmaking in Goa, the Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG) will conduct a special series of masterclasses for Goa youth from November 25-27 at Z Square.
ESG has associated with the Kuberans Institute of Film and Television for the event.
The program kicks off on November 25 at 4 pm with a session led by Zee Studio's COO, Shariq Patel. This masterclass will focus on executing creative ideas, promoting scripts, and pitching concepts to OTT heads to secure project greenlights.
There is uncertainty about the presence of renowned film director Rohan Sippy, who was scheduled to conduct a masterclass on the same day, due to health concerns.
On November 26 at 5 pm, acclaimed screenwriter Niren Bhatt will share insights into screenplay writing, while the following day, November 27 at 5 pm, director Rajesh Krishnan will conduct a session on direction.
“This initiative aims to develop the talent and infrastructure that already exists. All that’s needed is the right knowledge to move forward. We are trying to blend the exuberance of youth with the expertise of masters in the field,” said Jeet Wagh, COO of the Kuberans Institute of Film and Television.
