A man made a failed attempt to burgle the Sati Devi, Mahalaxmi Devasthan at Murmuse-Pernem
According to police reports, Sudesh Naik, member of the Devasthan Committee, stated that the accused, Deepak Korte of Tuem-Pernem, entered the temple at about 9 am on October 20, and attempted to break open the lock of the fund box from the temple. CCTV footage captured the accused moving around in the temple.
Mandrem police have registered the case and PSI Jaydeep Palyekar is conducting further investigations.
