Having performed a live Gospel Music concert before thousands of ecstatic fans in Pilar on September 9, 2023, Australian Catholic priest, acclaimed author, singer and songwriter Fr Rob Galea and his team will return to Goa for a second concert.

Fr Rob’s tour titled ‘Something about You’, which is based on his original track popular all over the globe, will include concerts in Goa, Mumbai and Bangalore.

The tour will begin with concerts on November 30 and December 1 at St Anthony's Church Ground, Malwani, Malad (West), Mumbai, followed by concerts in Bangalore at Holy Ghost Parish on December 3 and St Patrick’s Church on December 4.

Fr Rob’s concert in Goa will be staged at the Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium, Taleigao, on December 7 and 8.

Fr Rob’s band will comprise Zebede, Thomas and Jason. Also joining Fr Rob on his India tour is Jess Bond, a Digital Artist and Wordsmith living in Perth, Western Australia.

When contacted, Fr Rob said his second visit to Goa will be a special experience for him as it will coincide with the Exposition of the Relics of Saint Francis Xavier in Old Goa.

“As a priest and evangelist, I am deeply humbled to participate in the Exposition of the Relics of Saint Francis Xavier in Goa. Saint Francis Xavier was a tireless missionary who brought the Gospel to the far reaches of the world, a model of zeal and dedication that continues to inspire me,” said Fr Rob.

“His life reminds me of the profound responsibility we carry as priests and evangelists; to bring the message of Christ to every corner, no matter the challenges. To stand in his presence, through his relics, is a powerful reminder of our shared mission, to be bold in faith and relentless in love.”

“This moment is not only a personal privilege but also a testament to the ongoing work of evangelisation that transcends time and borders.”

Incidentally, Fr Rob had taken part in the adoration service at the Bom Jesus Basilica in Old Goa on September 10, 2023 and said it was a special experience to visit the mausoleum containing the Relics of St Francis Xavier.

“In fact, I visited the St Xavier College in Melbourne and that is one of the thing I spoke to them about how excited I am to go to visit Saint Francis Xavier’s tomb and to be in a place where I can experience the holiness of this man who loved Jesus so much, So it's an honour and sometimes feels surreal as well to me,” Fr Rob had stated last year.

Fr Rob Galea, originally from Malta and now based in the Diocese of Sandhurst in Victoria-Australia, has a huge following on social media and his book ‘Breakthrough’ will be released as a Hollywood movie in the near future.

A large number of young Goans follow his ministry online and are connected to him on social media.

Fr Rob loved India and was quick to acknowledge that his trip to Goa in 2023 was the highlight of his year.

“I love going to India. Every time I go, I just dream of returning. My heart is always burning on fire meeting people. I just find it's just such a wonderful experience,” said Fr Rob.

“I had heard so many wonderful things about Goa, the wonderful people, and the beautiful place I just could not wait. Honestly, the highlight of 2023 was to come to Goa. I was excited about my first trip to Goa.”

And fans will be equally excited about Fr Rob’s second trip to Goa in December.
