OLD GOA:
After persistent campaign by St Andre MLA Viresh Borkar against the construction of retaining wall on the Bambolim beach front, the Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority (GCZMA) has finally issued a stop-work order cum show-cause notice.
The notice was issued on Tuesday under section 5 of the Environment Protection Act 1986.
The party has been asked to file its reply along with approvals, if any, to the GCZMA on or before April 24, the day on which the hearing is slated at 3.30 pm.
In case of failure to reply, the GCZMA has said it will issue final directions in the matter without further notice.
