PANAJI: A 45-year-old German national Sebastian Hesler has been arrested by the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) for allegedly possessing a cocktail of drugs including party substances.
In a late-night raid on Monday, ANC officials found him in possession of a large quantity of LSD blotter papers, ketamine powder, ketamine liquid and ganja. The seized drugs are estimated to be worth Rs 23.95 lakh approx.
Addressing a press conference at police headquarters today, Superintendent of Police (ANC) Tikam Singh Verma said that the raid was a follow-up operation to a similar case registered last week, in which Ambeev Sengurta from West Bengal was arrested for allegedly possessing 16 grams of MDMA and over 50 grams of high-quality cocaine.
“Both raids involved commercial quantities of drugs with a total estimated value exceeding Rs 32-33 lakh. We are continuing our investigation to establish links between the arrested individuals and uncover the larger network supplying these substances,” Verma said.
