In a significant relief for senior citizens in the State, Goa Medical College on Monday introduced a dedicated priority line to streamline their access to medical services.
A separate counter has also been set up to provide preference to senior citizens holding a priority card for OPD visits and other medical procedures.
Registrations will be facilitated between 9 am and 5 pm, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free process. Additionally, assistance will be available at the counters, and a PRO will be present to guide senior citizens to their respective OPDs for check-ups and necessary investigations.
This initiative aims to significantly reduce the hardships faced by senior citizens at the registration counters and enhance their overall experience at GMC.
The dedicated priority line for senior citizens is another addition to various facilities offered to senior citizens at the GMC hospital.
The Department of Geriatric Medicine has been providing specialised facilities to senior citizens ever since it was set up in 2017. Separate and dedicated OPD services are conducted every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
