PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has assured to address issues and suggestions raised by the Goa Legislators’ Forum on River Mhadei and the Clean and Green Goa initiative.
Speaking at the Goa Legislators’ Day celebration held at the Secretariat in Porvorim today, Sawant further said the government is working on introducing reforms and will make financial provisions to support them.
“We are here to celebrate the legislators and ex-legislators of Goa and thank them for their service. They have raised important issues such as Mhadei and the Green Goa initiative, and the government is committed to addressing them fully. I personally take note of the letters you send regarding any issue, be it law and order or administration. Please send your suggestions, and in the State's interest, I will take them forward,” he said.
The event, organized by the Goa Legislators’ Forum, honoured members of the Legislative Assembly from the 1989-94 term for their contributions to the state.
Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar, Leader of the Opposition Yuri Alemao, and former MLA Victor Gonsalves were among those present at the celebration.
