The State government has revised the fees for online sound permissions for commercial and private functions, with higher charges for last-minute applications.
For commercial events, the fee is Rs 15,000 for applications submitted at least seven days before the event, Rs 18,000 for applications submitted between three to seven days before the event and Rs 21,000 for applications submitted less than three days before the event.
For private functions, the charges are Rs 3,000 for applications submitted at least seven days in advance, Rs 4,000 for applications submitted between three to seven days before the event and Rs 5,000 for applications submitted less than three days before the event.
The government has granted exemptions for certain events including those organised by the government, religious institutions and sports organizations, as well as religious and traditional cultural functions. No application fee will be charged for these categories. Moreover, those person who have received prior permission for up to three years are also exempt from the revised fees.
Furthermore, the government has approved the issuance of Satellite Imagery Reports to property owners with the service fee remitted to the Goa Coastal and Environment Management Society (GC&EMS). Property owners seeking such reports will have to pay Rs 10,000 per application per structure, while those requiring a certified copy of the report will be charged 75 per cent of the initial cost.
