Several Griha Aadhar beneficiaries face the risk of not getting their monthly financial benefits as they failed to link Aadhaar cards to their respective bank accounts or the banks have not seeded Aadhaar in the NPCI mapper.
The department informed that this could decline the Direct Benefit Transfer of financial assistance.
Director of Women and Child Development Manuel Barretto informed that in the absence of Aadhaar linkage or account seeding, the department is in no position to transfer the funds to beneficiaries' accounts.
“We will request all beneficiaries, who are not receiving their financial assistance, to link the Aadhaar cards or request the bank to seed Aadhaar to their account,” he said.
“Once that is done, all the pending dues and the upcoming payments would be cleared,” he added.
Barretto further said that the Central government has made Aadhaar linking mandatory for DBT benefits and hence, the State is following the same procedure.
