Health Minister calls for urgent infrastructure upgrades at SGDH

Health Minister Vishwajit Rane today acknowledged the need for immediate infrastructure upgrades and manpower including medical staff at the South Goa District Hospital (SGDH). 


Rane today had a surprise visit to SGDH and inspected various wards and departments, apart from interacting with patients to assess the quality of services being provided.


Rane emphasised that SGDH must evolve into a tertiary hospital to offer top-tier facilities and treatment to the people of South Goa. 


“SGDH needs an infrastructure upgrade to provide the best facilities and treatment. We are focused on elevating the hospital's services to achieve this goal,” he stated.


Rane assured that discussions with Chief Minister Pramod Sawant would be s, particularly to address the pressing need for enhanced staffing.


 "We are fully committed to increasing staff strength by bringing in more medical officers and nurses," he added.


The Minister reiterated the government's determination to ensure that Goans receive high-quality healthcare services.


 “Our focus is on improving every aspect of healthcare delivery at SGDH, from infrastructure to staffing, to ensure better services and top-notch treatment for all,” Rane said.
