Come New Year and development projects will literally rain on Curtorim on January 3, the constituency represented by four-time Independent MLA Reginaldo Lourenco.
Though the host of projects are estimated to cost the state exchequer crores of rupees, Reginaldo said the actual cost of the projects will be unveiled on January 3 when the projects are launched virtually at the hands of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant in the presence of ministers and MLAs at Alegria Open Air Hall, at Maina in Curtorim village.
Addressing the media, Reginaldo said his ceaseless endeavours along with his constituents for 'Better Curtorim Constituency' continues. As we herald in the New Year 2025, we are blessed with the able support of our State Government led by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and equally assisted by his other people-centric Cabinet colleagues for virtual foundation stone laying ceremony of the projects”, he said.
He said the projects are diverse in nature, ranging from Public Health, Home, Power WRD, PWD, Sports, Information Technology, etc
“The years of tireless efforts would finally bear the fruits with the launching of projects such as upgradation of Primary Health Centre Curtorim (PHC), Maina Curtorim Police Station at Sonsodo-Raia, laying of underground power cabling; installation of new power transformers, replacement of old water pipelines with new pipes, hotmixing and repair of roads, WRD works, Soil conservation works (Camorlim bund), upgradation of Curtorim Football grounds, proposed High Mast across the constituency, Agriculture machinery, Physiotherapy Clinic etc.
“Like in the past, Curtorim Constituency First remains my credo for bettering the lives of my constituents," he said.
Taking a dig at his political opponents, Reginaldo said his critics had a long innings of talking against him. “But, I believe in doing the work without talking. On January 3, some of the projects that would soon see light of the day, would be showcased at the Alegria open air hall”, he said. Saying that he has never discriminated against anyone during his political journey, the Independent MLA supporting the BJP Government has made an appeal to the people of Curtorim constituency to join and support his endeavour to bring infrastructure projects to the constituency.
