Investigation by the Margao police into the human trafficking case has revealed that the accused person arrested in the crime Shabrish Manjrekar had employed one lady manager since 31st May 2024.
The police have served a notice on the manager to appear before the police under section 35(3) of BNSS.
Investigation also further revealed that accused was having establishment licence (trade) in the name of accused and his partner located at Senaulim, Old Highway Road, Verna.
The police took a search of his office at Verna before attaching the same. They also collected the details of Aadhaar cards of the maid servant from her manager, employed by the accused at different places in Goa from other states on previous occasions.
Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Subhash Gaonkar Margao Town PS under the guidance of PI Tulshidas Naik and supervision of SDPO Margao
Sidhant Shirodkar and overall supervision of SP South Tikam Singh Verma.
