Panaji: The 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) is set to light up Goa from November 20 to 28, alongside the 18th edition of Film Bazaar, which will run from November 20 to 24.
A key feature of Film Bazaar is the Viewing Room, hosted at the Marriott Resort from November 21 to 24. This year, it presents an extensive library of 208 films, comprising 145 feature films, 23 mid-length films, and 30 short films from India and South Asia. The Viewing Room is designed for films in the final stages of production, allowing filmmakers to network with global programmers, distributors, sales agents, and investors to explore funding and distribution opportunities.
Among the library, 12 titles are NFDC-produced or co-produced films, and 10 restored classics from the National Film Archive of India (NFDC-NFAI) collection are included. Films with a runtime of 30-70 minutes fall into the Mid-Length category, while those under 30 minutes are listed as Short Films.
The Viewing Room also highlights the Film Bazaar Recommends (FBR) list, showcasing 27 standout projects: 19 feature films, 3 mid-length films, 2 short films, and 3 restored classics. Selected projects from the FBR list will pitch to an audience of producers, distributors, sales agents, festival programmers, and potential investors during an open pitching session at Film Bazaar.
