Most parts of the State witnessed rainfall on Thursday evening as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) Goa issued a Yellow Alert for Goa forecasting light to moderate rainfall over the next two days, extending through Friday.
Several parts of the State experienced dry weather with high humidity until the rainfall and thereafter.
According to the IMD, a cyclonic circulation located over the southeast Arabian Sea, off the Kerala coast, has now shifted to the Lakshadweep region and adjacent southeast Arabian Sea, extending up to 3.1 km above sea level, influencing the current weather conditions.
Despite this, Goa continued to see shallow to moderate fog or haze in the morning and evening hours.
In the last 24 hours, the State recorded a maximum temperature of 35°C and a minimum of 25°C. Temperatures are expected to hold steady over the next week, with the minimum forecasted to drop slightly to 24°C.
