Indian cinema gets a new stage at IFFI 2024 with IMPPA’s yacht on the Mandovi

Panaji: The Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association (IMPPA) is set to make an impressive debut at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2024 in Goa. This year, IMPPA will feature a unique floating booth—a first for any Indian film association—on a specially designed Yacht docked on the Mandovi River, directly opposite the festival venue at Marriott.

This Yacht, which will serve as IMPPA’s festival base from November 20 to 28, is designed as an exclusive hub for producers, industry professionals, and media, hosting a variety of events to celebrate Indian cinema. A celebrity-led opening ceremony on November 21 will kick off a packed schedule that includes master classes, film and trailer launches, and felicitation ceremonies for top actors and filmmakers, including Oscar nominees. Key highlights include:

-Masterclasses & expert sessions: Industry veterans will lead sessions on filmmaking, production, and storytelling, catering to both established and emerging talents.

-Film & trailer launches: The Yacht will be a premier space for showcasing new projects to audiences and industry influencers.

-Felicitation of industry icons: IMPPA will honour distinguished figures in Indian cinema, recognizing their achievements and contributions.

In addition, the Yacht will provide exclusive spaces for press interviews, government and celebrity interactions, and discussions on new IMPPA initiatives aimed at supporting producers.
