Jars of expired ginger paste found in Ponda scrapyard

Jars of expired ginger paste found in Ponda scrapyard

PONDA

An inspection of a scrapyard by a Ponda Municipal Council (PMC) team in the municipality led to the surprise discovery of a large number of jars containing expired ginger paste on Tuesday.

Accordingly, on Tuesday, Naik, along with PMC Chief Officer Yogiraj Gosavi and other municipal officials, went to seal a scrapyard in Ponda.

During the inspection, the officials were surprised to find several jars containing expired garlic paste. The PMC chairperson then notified the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA).

The scrapyard had been operating for the past few years, and officials suspect that it may have tried to repackage the expired garlic paste, especially since garlic paste is in high demand in fast food. Action is being taken against the scrapyard.
