Panaji: A tourist from Kerala, Arif Siddique, was arrested for allegedly assaulting a doctor at Goa Medical College (GMC) late Monday night. Siddique had been on a week-long trip in Goa but was left behind by his friends. He was found injured and brought to the hospital for treatment.
While receiving care at GMC, Siddique reportedly attacked a doctor, leading to chaos in the medical facility. The Agassaim police quickly intervened and arrested him on the spot. He has since been remanded to judicial custody.
The accused Arif Siddiqui has been sent to 14 days judicial custody by Panaji JMFC court, further police investigation is on.
