CANACONA:
An 85-year-old man was found dead in a hut he was temporarily staying at Agonda.
According to Canacona police, the highly decomposed body of Narayan Velip was found in a hut at Karpa-Agonda Though the deceased is a resident of Matvemoll-Khola, he was temporarily residing in a hut in the paddy field at Karpa-Agonda.
In their statement to police, family members did not suspect foul play in the death of Velip.
Police conducted the panchanama and later sent the body for an autopsy to the South Goa District Hospital at Margao. The body was later handed over to the family for final rites.
